Come to Know Jesus.
﹀
No matter what you've done, no matter how bad you think you are, Jesus is ready and wants to begin a relationship with you.
HOW DO I BECOME A CHRISTIAN?
Admit You Are a Sinner.
“God never meant salvation to be complicated, you just simply need to admit.”
He loved us way before we ever loved Him. (1 John 4:10).
God the Father draws us to His Son Jesus for salvation. (John 6:44)
When He draws us, we have to know that we are sinners, and that we fall short of deserving a relationship with Him. (Romans 3:23)
The price we have to pay for our sin is separation from Him. (Romans 6:23a)
God knew we would be sinners and did not deserve a relationship with Him, so He provided a way for us to be reconciled to Himself. All we have to do is believe in Jesus. (John 3:16, Acts 16:31)
2. Believe Jesus is Lord.
“Believe that Jesus died for you and rose on the third day.”
We have to believe that Jesus died for our sins, that He was buried and that He rose three days later. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
God has the grace gift of eternal life with Him if we believe through faith and know it is not through anything that we have earned ourselves. (Romans 6:23b, Ephesians 2:8)
3. Call Upon His Name.
“Commit yourself to a life of following Jesus and serving others!”
Once He calls us and we truly commit our lives to Jesus, no one can snatch us out of His hand. (John 10:28)
After salvation, God expects us to become more mature through reading the Bible, meeting together as believers, pray, and continually grow in our knowledge and relationship with Him. (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 10:25, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 2 Peter 3:18)
Pray.
Begin your relationship with Christ today, stop for a moment and pray.
Use your own words when you talk to God. Express your thoughts in a way that feels most natural to you. The most important thing is that your conversation with God is heartfelt and follows the example in the Bible:
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9.)
